The technology

Simultaneous removal & profiling

Overview

The Bristle Blaster ® Axial with its patented Accelerator Bar is specially designed to remove corrosion in areas that are difficult to reach - like door rabbets, roof joints, wheel housings - to create a blasted surface for superior adhesion. These characteristics make the Bristle Blaster ® Axial a perfect complement to the well-proven Bristle Blaster ® systems. The patented Accelerator Bar ensures a significantly higher and continuous performance of the Bristle Blaster ® Axial belts and thereby achieves: Reduces surface preparation time by 75% Creates a 'blasted surface' for superior adhesion Fast paint removal Saves time and money vs. tradi

FAQ

What applications is the Bristle Blaster® Axial suitable for?
The MBX ® Axial Blaster ® supplements the MBX ® for carrying out body work at areas that are especially difficult to reach, in particular, grooves, joints and inner edges. Thanks to its special geometric shape and belts with just one row of wire bristles, it is ideal for working in, e.g. roof joints (rain channels), wheel housings and or door rabbets (door jambs). The Accelerat…
Can I also use Bristle Blaster® Axial Belts with other drive units?
No, because Bristle Blaster ® Axial Belts are specially developed for use with the Bristle Blaster ® Axial drive unit. The Accelerator Bar mounted on the unit increases the kinetic energy of the bristles. The preassembled Air Pressure Regulator reduces the air pressure and ensures the optimum rotational speed. This is essential to enable the Axial Blaster ® Belts to work effect…
Can the Bristle Blaster® Axial also be used without the Accelerator Bar?
Yes, this is in principle possible. If, for instance, it is difficult to see the work area, you may have to, or we recommend that, you work without the Accelerator Bar. For this purpose, the arm on which the Accelerator Bar is mounted can be detached. However, working WITHOUT the Accelerator Bar reduces the striking energy of the bristles and consequently their effectiveness at…
Where can I find instructions on how to use the Bristle Blaster® Axial?
It is essential that you know how to work correctly with Bristle Blaster ® Axial Technology. You can find appropriate instructions in the user manual. We also recommend that you watch our application film .
What servicing work does the MBX® Axial Blaster® need?
The compressed-air motor should be regularly oiled. All you have to do is put a few drops of low-viscosity oil into the compressed-air connection. Proper maintenance ensures that the tool enjoys a longer service life and is a precondition for warranty claims.

The patented mechanism

Simultaneous removal & profiling, in one pass

STEP 01

Impact

Bristle tips strike the surface at kinetic energy comparable to abrasive grit-blast media.

STEP 02

Accelerator bar

The patented accelerator bar amplifies tip impact for maximum removal efficiency.

STEP 03

Retraction

Tips retract instantly, creating the anchor profile without smearing, burnishing or heat.

STEP 04

Coating-ready

A clean, profiled, grit-free substrate, comparable to abrasive blasting, 65–85 µm Rz (2.6–3.3 mil), ready to coat.

Bristle Blasting vs. grit blasting

Same result. None of the downsides.

Why teams choose it

The power of blasting. None of the fallout.

Grit-free

No loose abrasive, no media, minimal containment.

Blast-comparable cleanliness and anchoring surface profile — without loose abrasives

A verified, coating-ready standard. SSPC-SP 10 / SP 5.

In-service & spot repair

Works live, at height and in confined spaces, no blast pot.

Cold-working

No heat, no smearing, no grit embedment in the substrate.
