Every Bristle Blaster® drive reaches the same result: cleanliness comparable to ISO 8501-1 Sa 2½ & Sa 3 with a 65–85 µm Rz anchor profile, from the same belts and the same patented principle. The drive you choose decides where you can work — power supply, hazardous-area rules, geometry and area size. This page is the short route to the right one.

The options at a glance

How to choose in three questions

1. Is the area ATEX-classified? If yes: Pneumatic (or Pneumatic Double). It is fully pneumatic with no electrical parts, ATEX-evaluated for zone 1 gas and zone 21 dust.
2. Is there mains power at the workface? With power: Electric for general work, Electric Double for open flat areas. Without: Cordless on the 18 V CAS platform — the same battery family as 450+ tools from 45+ brands.
3. What geometry? Flats: Electric/Pneumatic (Double for speed). Weld seams and tight corners: Axial. Below water: Subsea.

Yes. The result comes from the belt and the retraction principle, not the drive: all reach a cleanliness comparable to ISO 8501-1 Sa 2½ & Sa 3 with a 65–85 µm Rz profile. Choose the drive by environment, not by finish.

Which Bristle Blaster® is right for ATEX zones?

The Pneumatic and Pneumatic Double: fully air-driven, no electrical components, ATEX-evaluated for zone 1 explosive gas and zone 21 explosive dust — the configuration used on refineries, platforms and petrochemical sites.

Which is the fastest option for large areas?

The Electric Double, at roughly 3 m² per hour on flat surfaces with double belts. In hazardous zones, the Pneumatic Double plays the same role.
