How to Get Ready for Bristle Blasting
The result of bristle blasting depends on setup: the right belt for the substrate, the accelerator bar fitted correctly, and correct working angle and pressure from the first pass.
What do you prepare before starting?
Choose the belt for your material and target profile (the Belt Selector walks through it), fit it to the drive, and check the accelerator bar, which drives the profile toward the upper range (~75 µm with the bar, ~25 µm without).
What does correct technique look like?
Let the bristle tips strike and rebound: light contact, steady overlapping passes, no leaning into the tool. Pressing harder does not clean faster; it shortens belt life and degrades the profile. The video demonstrates the full setup sequence.
