CAS — Cordless Alliance System

Cordless Surface Preparation: the CAS-Powered Line

En bref

MontiPower offers cordless surface preparation across its range - Bristle Blaster Ultimate Cordless, MBX Cordless and Vinyl Zapper Ultimate - all on the multi-brand 18 V CAS battery platform. The cordless Bristle Blaster cuts the same 65-85 micron Rz profile as the electric version; battery drive suits access work and repair spots, electric suits full-shift areas.

No hose, no cable, no generator: cordless changed what a surface preparation crew can reach. This is the hub for MontiPower®'s cordless line and the CAS battery platform it runs on.

One battery platform, three tools

Every MontiPower® cordless tool runs on CAS — the Cordless Alliance System: a multi-brand 18 V platform of batteries and chargers shared across member brands. If your workshop already runs CAS tools, our machines join the fleet without new batteries. The line: the Bristle Blaster® Ultimate Cordless (full 65–85 µm Rz preparation, untethered), the MBX® Cordless (coatings, rust and bodywork), and the Vinyl Zapper® Ultimate (adhesive and film removal). Batteries in 5.5 Ah and 8.0 Ah plus a fast charger are on the parts page; the CAS 2025 brochure (PDF) covers the platform.

Where cordless wins

Rope access and work at height (no hose management — see the at-height how-to), repair spots far from power, live sites where cable runs are a hazard, and rapid-response callouts. The cordless-to-SP10 write-up and the CAS platform guide go deeper; the CAS vs AMPShare comparison answers the platform-choice question.

Honest limits

A battery is a fuel tank. For full-shift continuous preparation on large areas, electric or pneumatic drives remain the right call — cordless earns its place where mobility beats runtime. Same belts, same profile, same Belt Selector logic across all drives.
